The Glock 23 is all around the description of excellence. I own many semi-auto pistols: Springfield XD-40, Sig Sauer Gen. 2 P-229 .40, Sig Sauer Sig Pro 9mm model 2022, S&W 1911 .45acp, Beretta 92FS Inox 9mm, Taurus PT 24-7 Pro in 9mm & .40 caliber, and the Glock 23 .40 caliber. there are many very efficient concealable semi-auto firearms, but what a lot of shooter dont take into account and what im seeing a lot of in the reviews is a rating based on how the weapon looks. Do you want a weapon to due to its design? Of course you do. Thats 80% of the way semi-autos are sold, but if your life is dependent on your firearm of choice, do you want looks or efficiency? With the Glock 23 you can have the best of both worlds. Glock builds a very standard and consistent looking weapon no matter the model, but no matter the model they all look great and are never going to fail you in a crisis situation. They are GOING TO FIRE!!!! True there is no saftey built into the weapon, but the best safety in the world is the gun owner. Know your weapon before using it or depending on it for conceal carry. There is after market saftey devices that can be bought and put on any Glock model but you best bet is to never pull it and never ever pull the trigger unless your are 100% sure you are going to shoot whatever you are pointing at, whether it be target practice or if you have to defend your life. the best saftey is just knowing how to handle your sidearm. Have carried a Glock23 for 5 years, and while i may prefer the looks of some other firearms a little more the Glock is ALWAYS going to save my life.

The Glock 23 is a gun that is actually more forgiving than most on the market. If you can see your front sight lined up with the target there is an 80% chance you are going to hit it, and if you line your rear sight and your front sight you are dead on! Less than 3 1/2 inch groupings at 25 yards consistently, and that can be in rapid fire. None of my other weapons can perform as well or forgive as much. 5,250 rounds and still going strong.

Goal post reaer sight with front dot sight for easy target acquirement. Extra $100 bucks will get you 3-dot night sights. Finger grooved and checkered grip that will fit almost any hand and also make it very easy to hold the weapon in place through the whole clip. Tac. rail by choice. Melonite coated steel slide with incredibly strong polymer frame for minimal weight and perfect balance and fit for conceal carry.
