Purchased used for $350, enticed by Kahr brand (reliability), size (concealability), and caliber (9mm--bigger than .380). After solving my mag release issue, and over-looking my personal preference for single action or two-stage triggers, this is a fine handgun that accurately places a bullet every time you pull the trigger. |

Had to send back to Kahr to repair the magazine release, which was causing the mags to fall out during firing. Had it back in a few weeks. Now it shoots perfectly and is very accurate. Recoil is no problem and, although the breakdown pin is rather tight, it breaks down and cleans easily. |

As I'm sure everybody knows, this gun has no external safety, but it has has a very smooth, somewhat light, but very long trigger pull with no indication of when it's going to go bang. I, personally, don't like that at all but I guess many do. I MUST ADVISE AGAINST CARRYING THIS GUN IN A POCKET WITH ROUND CHAMBERED--the long trigger pull doesn't do it. IMO, any gun in a pocket HAS to have an external safety. No external safety = get a good holster!
The sights are similar to a straight-8--block in the rear and dot up front, which work fine for its intended purpose. The CW, of course, is a cheaper version of the P9, and I don't care for the pinned front sight. |
