Ah,another Century Arms work of art =P Boy if they could just have even a DECENT QC department, then i'm sure their sales would improve as well as a decrease in customer complaints. But,as their goal is to produce as many cheap, high capacity AK look a-likes as humanly feasible,I don't think thats gonna be changing any time soon. You might get a nice one,you might get a total piece of garbage that spends more time at the gunsmith shop than at the firing line. If you're somewhat competent when it comes to firearms and dont mind fiddling around with them from time to time then,by all means, have at it. But don't be shocked when the sights are cant-ed,firing pin isn't long enough, action won't cycle, spent casing won't eject etc...These guns are a far cry from the classic Russian Assault Rifles that have helped to mold the world into what it is today be it good or bad.Still, having purchased one myself,it can be an inexpensive fun gun that's a joy to "soup up" and customize. Didn't catch too much hell with mine although I did have to replace the firing pin since the original one was too short. You may have better or worse luck with yours as stories about these guns ABOUND. Just make sure you look into the companys return policy FIRST before you make the purchase!!!!!! |

Granted that you get one without any problems,an evening at the range with a WASR is a lot of fun. More of the rifles DO have issues than DON'T unfortunately but some are more pressing than others. Don't expect to shoot a flea off a dog's back at 300 paces tho cowboy. I usually feed mine the cheapest ammo available as the good, new production brass certainly isn't worth using in this bad boy and the guns accuracy usually isn't the best anyhow. Some are more accurate than others but I fine this guns at it best when you're flying through ultra hi-cap mags and drums as fast as you can twitch you finger.Recoil aint bad either but I fine using a recoil buffer does help just that much more if you think it may be an issue for you. |

Classic terrorist type features like a pistol grip, bayonet lug(on most),underfolding stock(on some),and high capacity magazines make this firearm a favorite of people that think the government will be going door to door at any second now to take away their prized "assault" rifles. Although most models will take standard double stack mags, you may have to break out the old dremel to make some of them(especially the 75rd drums)fit right. Expect a lot of wobble too on just about ALL WASR models. On the plus side, the gun is VERY easy to field strip as an AK should and are SUPPOSED to be able to take a severe amount of punishment and still keep on rockin n rollin.Of course those are real AK-47's that have that mythical ruggedness to them.I try to avoid beating the piss out of ANY of my guns personally but have yet to have any major jamming issues with mine probably since I keep it oiled(but not overly)and cleaned. To some it up,IT'S AN AK CLONE and has pretty much all the same features as the real ones minus the whole "full auto" option |
