Springfield XD-45 (which I LOVE) with a shorter, more concealable handle, which is just fine for my smaller hands. Just like my XD-45s, my recently acquired, used XD-45 Compact fired comfortably, accurately, and flawlessly. It's a little bigger than I'd like (slide length), but what a nice feeling to have a gun on yoy that you know will work when you need it. Oh yeah, it was $425, in perfect condition, outfitted as usual, and with three mags.

Recoil is easily handled, breakdown and cleaning are a snap, and the gun is pretty accurate (4" barrel).

.45 ACP with 11 or 14 (extended mag) rounds with one in the pipe. The backstrap safety is a huge winner--no inconvenience or training issues and MUCH SAFER.
