Many people don't recommend the Mini-14, but I have found this firearm to be extremely reliable and fun to shoot. |

At 100 yards I can consistently place 55 grain full metal Jacket rounds into an inch and a quarter groupings. One of my favorite aspects of this firearm is the safety. The safety is conveniently located on the front of the trigger guard and can easily be "flicked" forward in to fire mode when your finger is within the boundary of the trigger guard. The Mini-14 also offers an extremely minimal amount of recoil. I feel that this rifle has comparable recoil to other firearms of the same caliber such as the AR15. The rifle is also highly customizable. I have added a folding stock, and a flash suppressor to my rifle, but other potential customization components are limitless. The rifle also breaks down in a matter of seconds by sticking a straight object such as a screw driver in the trigger guard and giving a little tug. One small shortcoming of this rifle is that it is a tad heavy at 6 |
