This firearm is a remarkable piece for the money. The design replicates that of a Beretta 92 and has a similar feel and fit. The finish is of good quality with no remarkable blemishes from the factory. The action is smooth and feels nice. The mag release is easy to operate and feeding a fresh mag into the well is smooth and quick.

The PT-99 is easy to break down and clean. After the new gun scrub ritual the firearm preformed as expected. Accuracy was excellent with all groups within a 3'' circle at 50 yards. Recoil very managable and the single action trigger pull is clean, tight and breaks nicely. The double action trigger pull is easy to creep back with no real complaints. No problems concerning feeding with any brand of ammo has yet to be discovered after over a dozen brands of 9mm and hollow points being fed through it. After about 3,000 rounds there has yet to be a malfunction and very little signs of wear.

The added features of a decocker safety and adjustable sights makes this a well rounded contender for service or personal protection. The three dot sights are easy to aquire targets with and maintain sight picture. The accessory rail is a nice touch and it does not hinder the availability of quality holsters on the market. This firearm also has Taurus' famous integrated gun lock which makes it securable anywhere you take it.
